An interesting question, after all the shape is about right, but I think I agree with the general conclusion. The thinness of the wok is going to be more trouble than it's worth for this application.
I'm not a big fan of the whole "superfood" craze but I have tried bitter melon out with some success. Have you tried it? Let us know in the comments.
